Ages 15 and older can bring their recyclables and get a head start on your spring garden while helping the planet. In this eco-friendly workshop, participants will learn how to turn everyday recyclables into mini-greenhouses for seeds. Please bring your clean milk jugs, juice containers, large zip-top bags or other clear recyclables to create your winter sowing vessels. A limited amount of soil, seeds and guidance will be provided as you prepare your containers for outdoor germination. This simple and sustainable method produces strong, healthy seedlings ready for spring planting. $15.
