Think tree identification is only for spring and summer? Think again! Come on a winter walk and learn key strategies for identifying different tree species. No prior experience needed. Recommended for ages 16+. Free, but please pre-register.

Winter Sowing and Recycling Program: Seed Jugs
Ages 15 and older can bring their recyclables and get a head start on your spring garden while helping the planet. In this eco-friendly workshop, participants will learn how to turn everyday recyclables into mini-greenhouses for seeds. Please bring your clean milk jugs, juice containers, large zip-top bags or other clear recyclables to create your winter sowing vessels. A limited amount of soil, seeds and guidance will be provided as you prepare your containers for outdoor germination. This simple and sustainable method produces strong, healthy seedlings ready for spring planting. $15.

Animal Interactions
Ages 8 and up can enter one of the Farm’s enclosures to see, touch and learn more about an animal of the farmer’s choice! $25 per person (adults required to stay). Please meet at the Reception Center upon arrival with sturdy, closed-toe footwear. Also: Feb. 22; March 22.
